Hello everyone, I know that it has been quite some time since I’ve posted on here and I would like to apologize. Going forward, I would like to change my format a little. I am going to do online bible studies most of the time. I believe it’s important that we not only red the word of God but truly understand it! I would love gave praise to my heavenly father and I thank God for anyone that may be blessed through this page! I would like to discuss the book of Romans. The apostle Paul wrote the book of Romans. Now for those that may not recall Paul was formally named Saul, however his name was changed once he became a disciple of Jesus Christ. You can find the story of him discovering the truth about our Lord and Savior in the book of Acts in the New Testament. We will do a study on this in the future, but for now, please turn to Romans Chapter 5 verse 12. Here we see the comparison of Adam vs. Jesus ADAM 1. Sin entered the world 2. Death through sin entered the world. 3. By one man’s offense sin entered 4. Judgment and condemnation came Man was never created to die, man was supposed to live forever in the presence of God, but because of what happened in the Garden of Eden this changed everyone. Sin entered the world resulting in death. Jesus 1. Grace entered the world through Jesus Christ. 2. Because of Jesus righteousness, he enabled the free gift to come. 3. Jesus brought life and justification. Now many people confuse the fact that grace means that we are to continue sinning. Grace allows us to be forgiven for our sin however; we are to pursue something higher, a level of righteousness. As Paul said “What shall we say then? Shall we continue in sin that grace may abound? Certainly not! How shall we who died to sin live any longer in it? Or do you not know that as many of us as were baptized into Christ Jesus were baptized into his death? Therefore we were buried with him through baptism into death, that just as Christ was raised from the dead by the glory of the Father, even so we also should walk in newness of life. For if we have been united together in the likeness of his death, certainly we also shall be in the likeness of his resurrection, knowing this, that our old man was crucified with him, that the body of sin might be done away with, that we should no longer be slaves of sin.” Romans 6:1-6 Does this mean that we won’t make mistakes? Absolutely not, however we are not to live the life of a sinner. If you are truly a follower of Christ there are certain sins you will not participate in. I am well aware that the flesh is weak and the flesh desires things, this is when we come before the Lord and ask him to clean us and we should desire to be reflections of him who is holy. He can make us lust after new things. There are people we struggled with alcohol and other drugs and God miraculously took the desire away. Is there anything that is too hard for our GOD?!!!! Come to him with a pure heart and desire to be made truly whole, we are all a work in progress and we will always remain students of God. He knows our hearts and he will give us our heart’s desire! When you find your flesh weak, the bible tells us to pray. Began to pray, even if you don’t know how just cry out for his help….. He will hear you. Just continue to do this it will become easier to say no. I thank God for this word and I pray that someone was blessed by it. My next post will continue with Romans and we will get into the meat and potatoes sort of speak. Be blessed and if you haven’t made Jesus Christ your Lord and savior, do so today.
